Michigan Invasive Species Management Areas

In the state of Michigan, Cooperative Invasive Species Management Areas (CISMAs) cover every county. Each CISMA has its own set of priorities including species to manage, outreach goals, and restoration plans. (For example, the northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network, the developer of Go Beyond Beauty, is a CISMA that covers Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and Manistee Counties.) That being said, as invasive species have no boundaries, combatting them is a collaborative issue.

If you are looking for invasive species-specific information beyond what is offered by the Go Beyond Beauty program, your local CISMA will be an excellent resource. Find your county below to identify your management area.
